I feel brands are not exempted from this phenomenon too. As your earlier articals and posts regarding "The Brand Trends" do emphasize that brands have the tendancy to change.Hence Indian marketers could be distributed in all four models and tend metamorphosize to different other forms.

I would like to conclude my opinion with the understanding from the artical that "Managerial decisions and management concepts originate and evolve from situations"

With regards
Kalumangi Srivatsa
Student,Indian Business Academy,
Bangalore.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35326396.post-1083796434475769442008-08-04T05:28:00.000-07:002008-08-04T05:28:00.000-07:00Hi Harish,Your post is interesting. In the emerging market such as India still in each category there are brands which can be differentiated with quality but in the west where the markets are mature and consumers are highly knowledgeable about quality , almost all brand offers more or less good quality. I this type of scenario branding come in picture and become a critical success factor. I think forward looking firms in India should work in the direction of brand building and create a base of “Brand Loyalists", where consumers resonate with brand.

Tejinder Kainth
tejinder_singh99@yahoo.com
Marketing Strategist,Toronto,CanadaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
